EPACA is delighted to invite young public affairs professionals from EPACA’s member consultancies, to participate in the 14th edition of the John Houston Essay Contest.

This contest is an annual tradition that EPACA organises with the aim of promoting and celebrating young talent by recognising original thought and strong writing skills.

For this year’s contest we welcome participants to share their views on the following question:

“How is the evolving transatlantic relationship between the EU and the US impacting the public affairs industry in Brussels?”

Interested in submitting your essay? Here is what you should know:

  • Eligibility: All public affairs professionals who are under the age of 30 and who work for one of EPACA’s member companies are eligible to submit their essay.
  • Format and Length: The essay must be a maximum of 300 words (excluding title), written in English.
  • Deadline: Send your submission by end of day on 02 May 2025 to info@epaca.org.
  • Prize: The winner of the contest receives a training scholarship of €2000The nominated contributions will also be published in the EPACA newsletter.

The winner of the John Houston Essay Contest will be announced during EPACA’s Annual General Meeting on 22 May 2025.
