Brussels, 28 June 2013 – EPACA Management Committee member, Rory Macrae, spoke today, the 27th of June 2013, at the ‘Global Europe’ workshop at the University of Kent, Brussels School of International Studies (BSIS).

Rory joined the panel on ‘Lobbying as a part of EU policy-making’, and other panelists were Lucyna Gutman, Board member of the Society of European Affairs Professionals (SEAP) and Jos van den Akker, Parliamentary assistant to MEP Esther de Lange.

It was an interesting debate on how lobbying takes place in the EPEU’s decision-making processes and a great opportunity for EPACA to share the insights and experience with lobbying as a political process, particularly with regard to how different non-institutional stakeholders fit into the process in different ways.
